Ootober 8, Major Campbell has resigned the office of clerk of Parliament. In the course of an interview this morning the Major stated there was no special reason for his taking this step, but he wished to be relieved of tho cares of office. Captain Bendall, Marine Surveyor, made an inspection of the barque Willie McLarren yesterday, nnd reports that little difficulty will be experienced iv floating the vessel.
