We held our usual monthly &ale yesterday . The attendance was good, and prices realized quite up to those of last mouth — in fact, ior young cattle there waa even an improvement upon our last sale, Ihe beef yarded was ex- "* ceedingly good, especially 24 iafc cows, fatced upon the property of Mr Todd, of Waitotara. We yarded 317 head of cattle and 1300 sheep, nearly all of which are quitted at or immediately after the sale, The following pneeb were obtained :—: —

Castle.— Beef (bullocks,) £6 10s to £8; beef (cows), £4 10s to £5 7s 6d ; 2-year-old Bteers, £4 2b ; 3-year-old stetrs, £4 4a 6d to '£4 10a ; 2-year-old heifers, £2 10s ; yearlings, mixed, £1 10s to £1 17s ; wcaners, £1 10s, £1 8s 6d, to 11 11s ;18 month- old steers, £2 2s 6d j store cows, £2 to £3 Is,

Sheep.— Fat wethers, 12=s, 12s Bd, to 15d 3d ; hoggets (mixed), 7s 9d to Si 7d ; ewes (few lambs given in), 10s 7d to lls 5d ; fat ewes, 10s Id,
