A QUESTION.
TO THE EDITOR. . Sir,— Will you kindly inform me through the medium of your paper if it is contrary to the County Council bye-laws for settlers slaughtering sheep or cattle and then hawking it round for sale, thereby hurting us who have to take out licenses for slaughtering. If so, what is the fine, and who has to lay the information? — I am, &c, Licensee.
