WARRENGATE SCHOOL.
I _ *«. A public examination of this school was conducted on Friday, the 7th instant, by the Rev P. L. Cameron, and Messrs Baker, Burnett, Harrison, aud Sarjeanfc. There were 41 scholars present, and prizes were awarded as follows :— lst class, Joseph Christie ; 2nd : class, Jeannie McNicol ; 3rd class, Emily Budge and Matthew McNicol equal, and Arthur Abbiss ; 4th class, Albert Abbiss ; sth class, Wm. McNichol, Elizabeth Christie. Special prizes : History, J. Christie ; writing and drawing, Ada Abbiss ; dux scholar, J. Christie. The scholars cheered the donors of the prizes, the examiners, and the teacher, and then separated for the summer holidays. The school will be ie-opened on Monday, January 7.
