Second horse to rec-ive 10 soys out of stakes ; 2J mi ! e3 ; over 9 flights of hurdles, 3 feet 9in. in height ; top weight not to exceed 12 stone, lowest not under 9 stone ; nomination 2 soys, acceptance 2 soys. Hack Hurdles, of 10 soys; once round and a distance ; post entrance, 1 soy ; weight not to be under 10 stone ; open to all horses that have never won public money, or been nominated for an advertised race six months previous to date of meeting ; hack race 3 excepted. Waverlev and Wa'Totara Handicap, of 140 soys ; If miles : second horse to receive 20 soys out of stakes ; winner of any race of the value of 100 soys after declaration of weight?, to carry a penalty of 71bs ; top weight not to exceed 10 stone ; nomination, 2 soys ; acceptance, 3 soys. Handicap, 3 soys ; Guinea", 4 soys. RULES AND REGULATIONS. No entry will ba received for any races except upon this condition — that all disputes, claims and objections, arising out of the racing shall be decided by a maj irity of the Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of this Programme shall be final. All sntries must be sealed and addressed to the Hon. Secretary Box No. 12, Waverley, entrance money enclosed (exchange must be addfd to cheques) with the name, age at time of entry, pedigree, and in case of handicaps, the performances of horses, name of the owner, and colors of the rider. Any Jockey riding except in colors entered will be fined 3 soys. When two or more horses start, the property of the same owner, a distinguishing color must be worn. All persons intending to withdraw horses are required to give notice to that effect to the Secretary, or UlerK of the Scales, one half hour before starting — any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this rule shall pay a fine of 5 soys. to the race fund. All races to be run under the W. J,, C. rules. Horses walking over will only receive half •he stakes. In all races the second horse only saves his stakes when it Is especially mentioneJ that he does so. No qualification fee. No entries or nominations will be received under any pretence whatever after the specified time for closing.
