+ Regular monthly meeting held Monday, Nov sth, 1883, at Mr J. J. Crawford's offices, JSt Hill Street. Present — Messrs i Dymock (chairman), Robertson, Peat, and Moore. I Nukuaiaru Road.— Letter from Public I Works Department informing the Board that although the work was performed for a less sum than the estimated cost, there was, strictly speaking, no balance, as the expenditure was from the vote for the Foxto.iPatea line, of which nothing remained. — Resolved that the Chairman write again to the Department stating that the road must remain impassable unless the Board receive a contribution, it having been the original arrangement that the Government should make the Road if the Board secured the land. Road to Mb, Ellis's. — Messrs Peake and Ellis applied to have the line laul off by Mr Field to Mr Ellis's legalised. Mr Peake said he would ask no compensation but would convey the necessary land to the Board. — Resolved, on the motion of Mr Moore, That the Chairman arrange with Mr Field to have a plan of the line proposed and afterwards arrange for the conveyance of the land to the Board. Tenders. — The following tenders were received for the formation of 41 J chain 3 Mosstown road : — John Bains, 13s lid per chain ; Fyre and Downs, and C. Parkes, 10s 6d ; Vivian and "Jackson, 10s 3d ; Flannery Bios., 12a. — Supply of metal at per yard, Swamp road, 840 yards metal : — D. Scally, 3s sid ; Vivian aiid Jackson, 2s 9d ; Flannery Bros, 2s lid; Con O'Leary, 2s 8d ; James Knox, 3s 3d. Kaiki kopu contract, 200 yards — Flannery Bros, 2s 4cl ; D. Scally, 2s 2£d ; S. Vincent, 2s; Con O'Leary, 2s 3d; James Barnes, 2s 3d. Brunswick Road, Supply of 700 yards — Flannery Bro?, 2a 8d ; D. Scally, 2s 6d ; S. Vincent, 2s lid; Con O'Leary, Is lid. Accepted : Mosstown Road, Eyre and Downs; Swamp Road, O'Leary ; Kaikokupti, Viucent ; Brunswick Road, O'Leary. Maxwell. — Mr Davis applied for permission to erect a temporary gate on the Rangitatau road, leading through his bush property. — Application granted for six months. Foreman's Report. — This report was read and adopted — It was resolved that the secretary write to Government enclosing foreman's report on the Tokomaru road aa to necessity for clearing slips and providing j drainage ; and in connection with Mr Clinton's application for a road to his property through Mr May's at Maxwell it was resolved, on the motion of Mr Moore, that on the applicant aggreeing to give free access to the properties in rear of his land, the Board will take action. Brunswick Extension. — Resolved, on the motion of the Chairman, that tenders be called for sanding and forming on the Brunswick extension and Campbell road. Ohie Bridge — Eesolved, en the motion of Mr Peat, that the Foreman prepare plans and specifications for a bridge over the Ohie Stream. Accounts. — Accounts amounting to £82 were passed for payment. Impounding. — Resolved, on the motion of the Chairman, that the Foreman be instructed to impound all cattle and horses found straying on the roads in the district.
