Binney reports : — Trade in general dull v throughout .the' week.; .'lt'is'with'difficnlty that sales can be effected. In breadstuffs, little has been done, and prices remain nominally at £11 to £11 10s. No enquiry for wheat ; oats firmer, good enquiry exists for good samples ; maize also firmer ; market very bare of oatmeal ; pearl barley remains at firmer quotations, £22 to £24 ; bran and pollard, none in the market ; cheese, if good, 7jd to 8d ; hams and bacon, cloth, 8d to B^d ; ditto, bare, 6£d to 7d; great demand for potatoes at £5 ss.
