AFFILIATION.
TO THE EDITOR.
Sib, — No one more than myself regretted to s<se Mr Or. Howe apply to himself your fair criticism of the proceedings of our Municipal Council. His best friends will regret his " extreme sensitiveness," as you truly described it ; and regret still more to see him in the arms of such a champion' as Mr McMinn, whose reference to Mr Howe over the requisition to Sir Julius Yogel cannot have been so soon forgotten. The application is unnatural, and cannot be grateful to Mr Howe's " sensitive feelings." I, like many of my neighbours, am still anxious to know for what lam paying ordinary rates and special rates, and will soon be asked to pay water rates. Yours &c. Citizen.
