PALMEUSTON.
(From our own correspondent.) The Cricket match between Palmerston and Feilding came oft" on Saturday last on the Foilding ground, and was well attended. The Palracvston Club, which has only just been formed, and without any practice, showed in excollentform in the Ist innings. Tho batting of Messrs Walker and Cockburn being- exceptionally good. There is little doubt however, that the- Feilding Cricketers have at present the superiority, which a little good practice on this side will probably remove. The clay was most enjoyable, and the field was honored with the presence of many of the fair sex. The scores are as follows :—: —
