"THAT PERSON."
To the Editor; of jthe-Evening Reruld. Sin,—"That person" referred to in a letter in this mornings Chronicle^still survives/'Bandsman's" infantile reniarks-re Classi Firing.., "Bandsman,.»,,prior fellow, doubtless imagined lie was performing- an important; public duty in stating Ms reason why 0. M. Gray made a better score"'than himself, but the subscriber fails' to perceive it. Ihere is very little truth in '-'Bandsmans 'explanation—so very:: little i indeed that it is difficult to see it, the major portion of. the effusion being composed of - deliberate falsehoods. I will not be toojtau^B on " Bandsman," as it is quite ' pro* b^^T that he is one of those who have- had' t^H perform the humiliating -task of taW ofP* his shooting badge, and has therefore suffered sufficiently already. • It has been suggested to me that the'letter in: question was not written.by ,"Bandsman," but by one of his children of tender years, but I do not think the bandsman who wrote i^ is possessed of infants—precocious: or otherwise. - •- -..-.. i.. lam, &c, .
