COMING TO-MORROW. “HIS AFFAIR,” Robert Taylor, Barbara Stanwyck and Victor McLaglen head the cast in “His Affair,” a story of adventure and intrigue, which comes to the State Theatre to-morrow, when it will be shown at 2.15 p.m. and S p.m. At the turn of last century, the stability of the United States, as the story runs, was being threatened by an unprecedented series of sensational bank robberies throughout the Middle West. In a desperate effort to restore confidence, President McKinley calls upon a young lieutenant, played by Robert Taylor, whose naval record under Admiral Dewey bespeaks his courage and resource. The young man, sworn to confidence, is told to disgrace himself in the service, be discharged and get in touch with the bank-robbing gang. No one but the President is permitted to know the- facts. From this opening, the story ‘ develops in adventures and misadventures, amongst them the assassination of the President. McLaglen, as the owner of a gaudy cafe in touch with the underworld, and Miss Stanwyck as a singing and dancing star of the cafe’s show, have their full part in the dramatic and sensational developments which follow.
