DEMONSTRATORS DISPERSED
USE OF GAS BOMBS. TROUBLE AT MOTOR WORKS. KANSAS CITY, Tuesday. Forty policemen hurling gas bombs dispersed between 300 and 400 demonstrators at the Ford Assembly Plant. The demonstrators, arrived in care 1 and moved towards the plant, where fifteen policemen were on duty. Patrol cars brought reinforcements in response to a frantic radio summons. Their bombs speedily drove off the demonstrators.
The regional organiser of the United Automobile Workers issued a statement declaring that the demonstration was decided on to show the solidarity of the union for the Ford workers.
