LOVELOCK’S RUNNING SECRET. (Received Wednesday, 12.10 p.m.) . LONDON, Tuesday. The * Daily Mail” says that Lovelock, before leaving for. America aboard the Queen Mary, disclosed that he was working, out- a secret running plan against runners whom he. will meet at the Princetown University. He adds that it -will prevent competitors boxing him in arranging for one of their own men to win. Lovelock will return to London before Christmas, and then will go to New Zealand to advise on athletic organisation, after which he will retire for two years in order to repair his health and finances.
