The surprise of the New Zealand amateur billiards championship tourney occurred on Saturday in the last quarter final, when A. Bowie (Dunedin) very easily beat the present holder, L. Holdsworth (Auckland), who was completely off form. Results:—Quar-ter-final: Bowie, .666, beat Holdsworth, 191; senii-finals, A. Albertson (Lyttelton), 750, beat G. Suthenjggod .(Christchurch), 446; S. Moses 4Prfadtington), 750, beat A. Bowie (Dunedff), 651. (P.A.)
