(By "Sprocket.”) C. Condon won again in convincing style and if handicapped' back to the scratch mark would show that he is a rider of no mean ability, i,. *Jr * M. Harman revealed glimpses of the form he showed years ago when racing with Tom. Oakly and Co. * * * * K. Burr made his first appearance ■since the Pahiatua race and showed a fine turn of speed at the finish when he raced away from Clark and Eastwood for third place. # # * * L. Clark rode a creditable race and has cause to be proud of the excellent time he returned. * * * * E. Eastwood also rode well and collected second fastest time honours. * * * N-* Of the rest C. Osborne, T. and M. Dooling all rode soundly but need further training to develop' the necessary form to produce times as recorded on Saturday. A Wellington rider, Udall by name, w r a,s also a stsrter but has not raced for three seasons and consequently attained no success.
It was very gratifying to the officials to see such a good field turn out and with the team visithjto- Wellington in a fortnight’s time will receive a great uplift in preparation for the track season.
