EXHIBITION MATCH. PEAISE FOR HORNABROOK. CHRISTCHURCH,. Monday. Gene Saraze.n and Miss Helen Hicks finished all square with C. J. Ward, Christchurch Club champion and H. R. Blair, club professional, in an exhibition match at Shirley to-day. Sarazen went round in 72 and Miss Hicks in 79 from the men’s tees, the former having three birdies' and an eagle. Discussing New Zealand amateurs, Sarazen said Hornabrook was equal to the Australian Ferrier and) would have no difficulty in qualifying for the English amateur championship.—(P.A.) MASTERTON CLUB.
