HERRIOT DECLINES OFFICE. ROYALIST SENT TO GAOL. PARIS, Saturday. . M. Herriot declined M. Blum’s invitation to take up the Foreign Secretaryship. Maurras, the Royalist leader, was sentenced to eight months’ imprisonment and fined 200 francs for inciting the murder of M. Blum in recent articles in the "Action Francaise,” declaring that if M. Blum’s policy should lead to war, Frenchmen should use carving knives to eliminate him and hi's followers.
