ELECTRICAL STORM
FOUR FEOPLE KILLED. NEW YORK, Saturday. _ The hottest Saturday afternoon this summer was broken by a freak electrical storm at 3 p.m. to-day which killed four persons and injured a score of others at beaches in tho New York metropolitan area. Tho temperature dropped from _9O degrees Fahrenheit to 67 degrees Avithin a few minutes and torrential rain sent several hundred thousand bathers scurrying for shelter with considerable traffic disorder. Four persons were killed when seeking shelter under a sheet-iron roof. One had just commented on the foolishness of’ persons staying on the beach during the storm. A bolt of lightning tore through the structure, horribly burning and mutilating the bodies.
