The ‘ ‘ Daily Mail’s ’ ’ Geneva correspondent says that Sir John Simon today reaffirmed the British determination to honour the Locarno Pact, which, is regarded as particularly significant to the present juncture, and is considered in some quarters as a warning to Germany against further violations of the Treaty of Versailles.

Sir John Simon was unwilling to mention a specific situation necessitating intervention, but the declaration is interpreted as meaning that Britain will not shirk responsibility by a legal quibble, which has given'France greater satisfaction than any other event in recent years. The indictment of Germany for violating the Treaty of Versailles is meeting with unexpected difficulties at Geneva, where a private session of the League Council was held yesterday to discuss procedure in connection with the French Note 0115! he subject of German rearmament.
