SOUTH AFRICAN TEAM. WELCOMED IN ENGLAND. (Received Tuesday, 9.10 a.m.) LONDON, Monday. Sir Henry Bencraft, on behalf of the Marylebono Club, welcomed the South African cricketers at .Southampton. Mr S, : J. Snooke, the manager, said that the matches will be. played in a sporting-spirit.: There would not be trouble of any sort. Mr Snooke mentioned that the team possessed an asset in youth, the oldest player, Vincent, being 32 years.

The Australian Women’s Cricket Council has received a cable from the English Women'’s Cricket Association, inviting a team of sixteen players to England in 1937.
