SHOT DEAD

WOMBAT FLAT TRAGEDY. (Received Tuesday, 11.10 a.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. While Fitzhardridge Murton, aged' 45, was walking with a fully loaded doublebarrelled gun under his arm, he was shot dead in a street at Wombat Flat. Murton was returning to a house in which, it is alleged he had threatened to shoot a young man with whom he had quarrelled a few minutes before. A man has been charged with murder.
