MR LLOYD GEORGE’S VIEWS.
LONDON, Saturday. “Now is the time to begin, when material, cheap labour and abundant material is idle,” said Mr D. Lloyd Geor,e again addressing his New Deal at a crowded meeting at Glasgow. He explained it was difficult to enter fully into the details pending the Government’s decision. “I shall meet the. formidable Cabinet sub-committee on 18th April with trepidation, but confident that the practicability of my proposals will carry me through. When the Government has finally decided I shall publish a full memorandum to allow the country to judge the merits of the scheme.”
