LOCAL BODY ELECTIONS

NOMINATIONS CALLED FOR. CLOSING DAY 26th APRIL. Advertisements which appear on page 1 of this issue call for nominations for the Masterton Mayoralty, Masterton Borough Council, Masterton Borough representatives on the Wairarapa Power Board and the Wairarapa Hospital Board, Wairarapa district representatives on the Wellington Harbour Board; also for the Masterton County Council, Masterton County representatives on the Power Board and the Hospital Board; also for the Wairarapa South County Council, Wairarapa South County representatives on the Power Board and Hospital Board, and also for the Mauriceville Comity Council, and for the Mauriceville County representative on the Tararua Power Board. In all cases nominations will close before noon on Friday, 26th April, the day after Anzac Day.

The annual Savage Club was rooms on Saturday There w r as a large attendance of members, tracF" everything points to the coming season being very successful in the musical, dramatic and general activities of the club.
