(Received Saturday, 10.10 a.m.) BRISBANE, This Day,
An earth tremor, which was felt in the metropolitan area about noon, was experienced along the coastal belt from Brisbane to Rockhampton. No extensive damage and no injuries are reported, but at Gayndah, in the Burnett District, a number of buildings cracked and stock on the shelves of shops was thrown to the floor. Alarmed residents at Kingaroy, where two distinct shocks were felt, rushed into the streets. Tho most severe tremor in the metropolitan area was at Cribb Island, where homes were violently shaken and residents terrified.
