HOTEL WORKERS’ DISPUTE
AGREEMENT REACHED.
The hearing of the Licensed Hbtels’ dispute was commenced at Wellington on Monday last, when Mr P. Hally, Conciliation Commissioner, presided. After a'four-day sitting, agreement was reached as follows:
Increase of 7} per cent on the rates paid in 1932, which represents half of the cuts imposed on the 1932 rates. Tho provisions of the current award, including tho classification of workers, have been accepted, with two minor alterations.
The new award will come into force on Ist April, 1935,-and will continue in force for two years.—(P.A.)
