Geddes Maunsell, aged 38, a Maori, and married with a family of six children, was drowned at Nukutawliiti yesterday when trying to rescue stock from a flooded paddock on his own farm. Mounsell got into a swirling torrent ten feet deep and disappeared. The body was recovered this .morning.— (P.A.)
