SECESSION
WESTERN AUSTRALIAN PETITION. (Received Saturday, 10.15 a.m.) LONDON, Friday. The Order Paper for the House of Lords on Tuesday contains a motion that Lords Goschen, Lothian and Wright serve as a joint committee to consider the receivability of the Western Australian petition. The terms of reference empower the Committee to agree with the House of Commons’ representatives upon the chairmanship, also to hear counsel and examine sworn witnesses.
