STOCK MARKET
DANNEVIRKE EWE FAIR. DANNEYIRKE, Thursday. _ Despite heavy and continuous rain a record yarding at the annual ewe fair at Dannovirke to-day resulted in a good sale of the 30,000 penned. Young ewes met with a good and keen demand while older sorts were holding somewhat. The prices generally about equalled those ruling at Feilding and other sales. Had the rain fallen 24 hours earlier, followed by fine weather, the prices would no doubt have exceeded expectations. As it was they were quite satisfactory. Somo of the best prices were 22/4 for five-year, 23/3 for four-year, 22/and 27/- for four and six-tooth. Twotootlis were up to 28/G. —(PA.)
