RAM FAIR
SALE AT MASTERTON. The Masterton Rani Fair Avas continued after the “Daily Times” went to press yesterday afternoon. The sale was considered one of the best recorded for years, prices generally exceeding those expected by vendors. The sale opened fairly quietly in the morning, with offerings of flock Romneys, and while the demand was steady, without being spirited, buyers were operating with discrimination. It was a different story in the afternoon, however, when anything and everything showed signs of quality, and condition was .eagerly sought after. In several cases vendors who offered their top line rams in the morning had the experience of seeing their relatively inferior ones fetching practically double the prices. The following are the additional sales to those published yesterday (the sheep being 1-sh. except where otherwise stated): —
