WOMEN’S MATCH. NEW ZEALAND v. ENGLAND. In the first test match played by the women cricketers in the Dominion, New Zealand’s representatives fared* badly against England on Saturday. They had first use of a perfect wicket, but in 78 minutes’ play the side was dismissed for 44 runs. During the remainder of the day the English players hit off 430 runs for the loss of only four wickets. The declaration of the English innings is expected to-morrow, the final day’s play, and the touring team will almost certainly win by an innings and a very large margin.
