RIFLE SHOOTING
MASTERTON-OPAKI CLUB. The members of the Masterton-Opaki Rifle Club tired a practice shoot of 10 shots over the 800 and 900 yards ranges on Saturday. A slight breeze at 800 yards did not trouble the majority of shooters, some good scores being registered at this range, R. J. King with 49 points, one under the possible, being best. Top score off the rifle was registered by E. M. Wrigley with 92, Y. E. Donald being next with 91. The following are the scores, conditions being ten shots and two optional sighters at 800 and 900 yards:—
A practice shoot under service conditions will be fired next Saturday to enable members attending the Trentham and Papawai meetings to get their service rifle sights set.
