FAILURE OF THIEVES
SAFES ATTACKED. DUNEDIN, Sunday. During the week-end the Stirling railway station was entered, and attempts were made to blow two safes, one in the post office and the second in the railway department. The efforts were unsuccessful. A drawer in the post office was forced open but nothing was stolen. Entrance was gained through the prizing open of a window by the intruder. —(P.A.)
