TERRITORIALS IN CAMP
BRIGADE AT WAIPUKURAU. WAIPUKURAU, This Day. Approximately 850 territorials assembled at Waipukurau on Saturday from various provincial centres for a week’s training. This is an infantry brigade, comprising the Ist Batallion, Wellington, West Coast, Taranaki and Hawke ’s Bay Regiments, also 2nd Field Ambulances and Dental detachment and units of the Wellington and East Coast Mounted Rifles, N.Z.A.S. Corps, Engineers and Artillery, under Colonel W. H. Cunningham as Brigade Commander, the pipes and brass band of the Wellington Regiment and also the Hawke’s Bay and Wellington West Coast Band adding to the brightness. The weather is excellent.
Major-General Sir Andrew Russell will be the guest at a luncheon and dinner to-morrow, and Major-General Sir Wm, Sinclair Burgess, General Officer Commanding, wilPipay a visit of inspection on Wednesday.—(P.A.)
