WAIRARAPA CHAMPIONSHIP.
On Saturday evening the Masterton . Winter Sports Club played the Catholic Club at the Y.M.C.A. in the first round of the Wairarapa Table ciation’s championship, the ma'yii resulting in a win for the Winter Spoits Club. ' The following are the details of games (United Sports Club players be* •' ing mentioned first in each case): Ladies’ singles, 8/0; men’s singles, 4/3; ladies’ doubles, 4/0; men’s ‘ doubles, 2/2; combined, 7/1. Total —25 matches to 6 and 51 games to 14. A start will be made with the Winter Sports Club championships next Saturday evening at 7.30 o’clock sharp.
