HOCKEY GROUNDS SHLETER
(The Editor)
Sir, —The Grounds Committee of the Wairarapa Hockey Association are making a final appeal through the post to Masterton leading citizens and good sports for assistance towards building a much-needed shed for the Lansdowne Hockey grounds. On occasions as many as 250 lady players participate in the game on these fields and these ladies are compelled to prepare for the game in motor cars or buildings in the vicinity. The committee feel that citizens mil assist them to remedy the present state of affairs and confidently anticipate that Masterton generally will respond to the call for finance. —I am, D. BURGESS, Honorary Secretry, Grounds Committee.
