SHOT LANDS ON MAN’S HEAD. BRISBANE, Sunday. Accidentally struck on the head by a 151 b. shot, thrown by a competitor at a sports meeting,'Frank Perske, aged 50, was fatally injured. Perske was bending down measuring the distance the shot was thrown by a competitor when another competitor hurled the shot. Perske was too preoccupied and failed to hear the warning cries. The shot shuck the back of his head.
