A French solo flier, en route from Saigon to Paris, had a narrotv escape this morning shortly after leaving Calcutta, AA'hen a vulture crashed into tho machine, which made a forced landing. The ’plane burst into flames, but the pilot escaped. MELBOURNE AIR RACE. REPORT DENIED. (Received Friday, 9.50 a.m.) LONDON, Thursday. The Prince of Wales chief pilot, Flight-Lieutenant Fielden, authorises the denial of the possibility of the Prince of Wales entering a machine in the Melbourne air race. BRITANNIA TROPHY. AWARDED TO MOLLISON. (Received Friday, 12.35 p.m.) LONDON, Thursday. The Royal Aero Club lias aivarded the Britannia trophy for 1933 to Mollison, for his Anglo-Brazil flight.
