SPORTS AT CARTERTON
AHIARTJHE-POKTATAHI MEETING. The Ahiaruhe-Ponatahi Sports 'Club has decided to hold its annual sports gathering at Carterton on Saturday, l'Sth February, and to donate any surplus funds from the gathering to the Carterton Volunteer Fire Brigade, towards tlie Easter demonstration expenses.
The programme of horse events and the other competitions ■will remain the same as last year, and the Carterton Fire Brigade will arrange the fire brigade events, and the Caledonian Society the Highland dancing. The Carterton "Municipal Band is to be asked to arrange a musical programme, and! the price of admission was fixed at Is 6d, children under 16 years free.
