TRAIL OF DAMAGE. H AMILfO V, This .Day. Originating !-d- th*v cast of Nga'.iina-p-ouri a tornado swept over raterangi, leaving a trail of damage in its wake. In several eases corrugated iron roofs were lifted and carried some distance by the veeloeity of the "wind. A large shed on R. IT. Adams’. Paterangi farm was reduced to a pile of twisted sheets of corrugated iron. W. Hughes’ residence at Ngahinapouri was considerably damaged, a portion of the roof being torn off and the chimney levelled. Power and telephone lines were disconnected.
. Adams’ house was damaged, a portion of the roof being twisted off and the rooms underneath exposed. On L. Beere’s farm a. milking shed was completely demolished-, the roofing iron in this instance being scattered over a quarter of a. mile radius. No one was injured by the visitation. — (P.A.)
