STEAMERS COLLIDE
ONE VESSEL SINKS. EIGHT LIVES LOST. ("Received Thursday, 11.40' a.m.) RUGBY, Wednesday. The steamers Gateshead and Miranda collided off Sealiam Harbour (Durham) this morning. The Gateshead sank, and the captain and seven of the crew were drowned. Five persons were rescued and taken on board the Miranda. —8.0. W. .
