BLANKET APPEAL.

(To the Editor.) Sir, —During the last month many cases have been brought to our notice where families are, in some cases, practically destitute of warm bed clothing. The prospect of these families beingable to purchase blankets is at present very remote indeed. The winter is now upon us, and the need of rendering assistance in this matter is vital. Therefore, on behalf of the members of our club, we wish, through the columns of your paper, to make an urgent appeal to public generosity, to donate gifts of blankets. All donations may be left at the Self Help Club or at the Y.M.C.A. We hope this urgent appeal meets -with the success it so'richly deserves. A ’phone message to the Y.M.C.A. will receive attention. —We are, etc., K. A. JUDD, Chairman, P. 11. SIIAW, Hon. Secretary.
