STOLE A SAFE
TWO MEN FOR SENTENCE. CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday. In the Christchurch Police Court today Leonard Walter Downing and Stanley Gibbard liazeldine pleaded guilty to breaking and entering the Club. Hotel, Sydenham, on Ist Janifary. They were committed for sentence. This was a sequel to a robbery when thieves stole the hotel safe and contents, £2OO. A third man, Arthur William A lucent Wilson, pleaded not guilty to the same charge, and was committed for trial. — (P.A.)
