RIFLE SHOOTING
MASTERTON-OPAKI CLUE. Sixteen members of the AlastcrtonOpiki Rifle Club assembled on the Pairview Range on Saturday afternoon and fired a practice match over the 300 and 500 yards ranges. Conditions were ideal for shooting, and some good scores were registered. C. Pickering was in good form, registering 48 at both ranges, N. Kuinmer and G. 11. Murdoch being next best with 48 at 300 yards and 47 at 500 yards. The following are the scores (conditions being 2 optional sighters and 10 shots at 300 and 500 yards): —

McKenzie' 35, 41, 12, SS; 11. King, 37, 46, 4, 87; H. 11. Mawley, 30, 46, 85. The ranges for next Saturday will be 600 and SOO yards.
