Copland, dean of the faculty of commerce at Melbourne University, who was recently taken ill while on a visit to Wellington, and who is a patient in Bowen Street Hospital, is reported to have improved and to be making satisfactory progress. The engagement is announced of Miss Iris Daphne Grantham, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs W. A. Grantham, of Hope Street, Masterton, to Mr Samuel Henry (Harry) Pudnev, third son of Mr and the late Mrs A. L. Pudnev’ of Wellington.
