LONDON PRICES. The New Zealand Dairy Produce Board has received the following market report from its London office dated 11th March (last week’s quotations in parentheses): — Butter: New Zealand salted, 110/112/- (10S/110/-)— last year 118/120/-; unsalted, 114/118/- (114/118/-) last year, 14/128/-. 110/112/- equals approximately 11 3-8 d f.o.b. First whey, 102/- (104/-); second, 100/- (102/-). Deliveries New Zealand 1650 tons last year, 2350 tons. In store New Zealand, 3800 tons —last year, 5050 tons. Australian salted, 104/107/- (103/106/-); unsalted 106/110/- (106/110/-). Deliveries Australian, 3043 tons last year, 1062 tons. In store Australian, 2733 tons —last year, 750 tons. Argentine unsalted, 104/110/- (106/110/-). Danish, 107/- f.o.b. 128/- spot. (US/-, 130/140/-). Market quiet. Retail prices unchanged. New Zealand, l/2d; Danish, 1/4d. Empire Marketing Board’s estimated stocks all butters 358,105) boxes, compared with last year, 266,6a5

boxes. Italy lias increased the duty on butter to 250 lira per 100 kilos. Switzerland has reduced duty by 30 francs to 150 francs per 100 kilos, but is imposing a quota from Ist April. France has increased import quota for the March quarter further 1200 tons to 3600 tons. Export of imports from London to the Continent is negligible. Germany’s buying is small owing to difficulty in securing foreign exchange. Danish exports have not cleared this week—offering to-night 102/104/- f.o.b. Recent high prices of Danish buttci stimulated Northern demand for box butter.

Cheese: New Zealand white, 61/62/(60/61/-) —last year, 55/57/-; eoloured, 62/63/- (61/63/-) — last , year, u'AW*. Deliveries New Zealand, 21,796 crates last year, 19,000.
