Best X.I. wether sheep, 4:jd to 4 1-Sd. Xortli Island ewes, 3 o-8d to 2 ! 1 d. X.Z. prime ox beef, 160/220, 2jd. Compared with last week’s quotations: X.I. Down lambs, 28/36 s, Id lb higher: 36/42’s, j d lb higher; best X.I. xbd. lambs, 28/36 % id lb higher; 36/42’s, -jd higher; X.I. 2nd quality lambs, 3-Sd higher; best X.I. wethers, l-8d lb lower; X.L ewes, under 4Slbs, 1-Sd lb higher. Others unchanged. The market for lamb is steady to firm. Ihe mutton market is quiet, and there is a weakening tendency.
