HONOLULU MURDER
PROSECUTORS RETAINED. HONOLULU, Tuesday. Tlie Chamber of Commerce Bar Association has retained two of Honolulu’s most prominent attorneys—Mr Eugene Beebe to prosecute in the re-trial of the Massie assault ease, and Mr Barry Ulrich to prosecute Mrs Fortescue. and the other defendants for the murder of the native, Joe Kahahawai, as the outcome of the assault case. (Mrs Fortescue and Lieutenant Massie. of the United States Navy, are to be charged with the murder of Kahahawai, who, late last year, was acquitted on a charge of criminally assaulting Mrs Massie, daughter of Mrs Fortescue.)
GRAND JURORS ADMONISHED. (Received Wednesday, 11.20 a.m.) HONOLULU. Tuesday. As the Grand Jury reassembled, Judge Cristy revealed that that body had today presented a report which the Judge refused to accept. The Judge issued new instructions, admonishing the Grand Jurors to put aside their personal prejudices, which had hitherto interfered in the voting of an indictment in the Fortescue trial..
