TRADE AGREEMENT. OTTAWA, Monday. The Minister of Trade and Commerce (the Hon. 11. 11. Stevens) returned on Sunday with a tentative trade understanding Avith Ncav Zealand. It is expected that Cabinet Avill give the matter immediate consideration. PARLIAMENT TO CONSIDER. AUCKLAND, Monday. The Hon. W. DoAvnie StcAvart, in an intervieAV this afternoon, on his return from Honolulu, said that no action could bo taken to modify the present trade position betAveen Canada and New Zealand until Parliament had considered the whole matter. —(P.A.)
