STOCK MARKET
EKETAHUNA SALE. Associated Live Stock Auctioneers, Ltd., report having offered a yarding of 1900 sheep of all classes and a few pens of cattle at their Eketahuna sale on Thursday. There was a fair demand for lambs and wethers and a good clearance was effected. The ewes yarded were mostly aged sorts, and there was very little competition. Prices were as follows: —406 good forward 4-th wethers, 10/6; 64 2-th wethers 7/7; 44 b.f. lambs 5/9; 64 do. 5/6; 25 do., 6/2; 16 do., 4/9) 30 do., 5/5; 48 do., 4/4 135 woolly wether lambs 5/9; 67 do. 5/10; 64_ medium wether lambs 4/-; 58 do. 4/-; 67 do. 4/3; 19 small lambs 3/10; 27 do. 2/9; 36 do. 3/4; 29 do. 2/2 23 do. 3/5; 17 do. 3/2; 20 do. 2/6, 41 do. 2/3; 33 medium. 2-tli ewes 10/5; 35 small ewes 4/3; '6l aged ewes 2/7; 60 cull ewes 1/-; 10 good yearling Holstein heifers £2/19/-; 1 Holstein bull £2 10s; 6 weaner pigs 7s.
