FINES OF £l4O.
WHANGAREI, Monday. Fines totalling £l4O were imposed on three men in the Magistrate’s Court arising from breaches of tho Gaming Act.
Arthur Lawrence Lambess, for keeping a common gaming house, was fined £SO, and Peter Armstrong and William Mailing, for bookmaking, were fined £SO and £4O respectively. The cases were the outcome of .police raids on January 9. —(P.A.)
